Good afternoon, everyone.
Welcome to the
pension committee meeting.
My name is Councillor
Silliu -Garmet
and I am the chair of the committee.
Please note the following
meeting's procedure.
This meeting is being held in person.
Committee members and key participants
are present in the meeting room, only the committee members present in the meeting room
will be able to vote.
Other persons may be also attending remotely.
Committee members and others who have chosen to attend remotely have been advised by the
committee officer that should a technical difficulty prevent their full participation
in the meeting, it may proceed in their absence if I feel it is necessary.
I would remind members at the meeting to only speak on my direction and to speak clearly
into their microphones to ensure that their contribution can be properly recorded.
Can everyone ensure that the mobile phones are switched off or on silent mode?
I would also like to remind members present that they have committed through the members' pledge
to treat one another with dignity and respect,
to give others the opportunity to speak,
to listen to different viewpoints,
and ensure that challenge is constructive and inclusive.
I look forward to seeing all the attendees
to demonstrate this commitment through their conduct this evening.

following motion that under the provisions of section 100A of the local government act
1972.
As amended by the local government Act 1985, the press and the public be excluded from the reminder
of the meeting for the consideration of the section 2 business on the ground that is contained
information defined an exempt in part 1 of schedule 12a to the local government
Act 1972.
