Good afternoon everybody and may I welcome you to this meeting of the licencing committee of the London borough of Tower Hamlets
Held today Thursday the 18th of December
at 1pm. My name is Peter Golds, I'm the chair of the licencing committee and therefore I
will be conducting the hearing today. For everybody's information, the meeting is going
to be held in person. Committee members and key participants are present in the room,
but there may be some people joining online and I can spot one or two. And the meeting
of part of the meeting will be filmed for the council's website and public viewing.
The main part of the meeting where we discuss the presentation, et cetera, et cetera, will
be below the line. We have all the pink papers and it will not be available to public viewing.
As a matter of courtesy and housekeeping, if people wish to contribute, may I ask them
to wave their hand and signal and I will call you rather than try and talk across anybody
But I do spot Mr Rankin here and I do know he won't surely stop anybody doing such behaviour.
I'd now like to invite members and officers to introduce themselves. You know who I am, Sir Peter Gold.

Thank you everybody. Item 1 is technically apologies for absence but of course the committee meeting, the committee quorum is three and all three are present so by definition there will be no apologies for absence.

Now go to item three and I will read this from my brief because this is before this has to be formal
At this stage of the meeting I will formally exclude the press and public from the meeting as the next item to be considered is restricted.
